Bethany and Brian's Engagement Shoot / Concord, MA

It's hard to believe it after this past week of weather, but autumn is here! I recently took advantage of a nice day and spent time with Bethany and Brian in Concord. They are such a fun couple with tons of energy. We burned some of that off back at Fitness Together, where they both work in delivering personal training. Things got a little competitive; but they made up in the end Can't wait for their wedding next Spring!

Kate and Ben / Old South Church and The Barn at Gibbet Hill

It's been a very busy and rewarding season, so much so that I've neglected to find the time to escape what's real and dive into the virtual world. In all the time I've been documenting weddings, I honestly don't think I've had a more fulfilling year! There have been a lot of firsts, which is rare at this stage in the game; I mean, I should've seen everything by now, right? Without a doubt, THE most organized bride award goes to Kate; yes, so many organized ones from the past couple of years make the top ten, but Kate takes the cake! And my insights were reinforced later on during the toasts with not one, but a few references to her organizational skills! I mean she was 'on it' all day, which was both helpful and entertaining; so many laughs from start to finish. Ben's family was pretty organized as well - after all, they're Swiss! Knowing that Ben is both Swiss and that he plays tennis, I couldn't help but notice that he also resembles the G.O.A.T. (God of All Tennis or Greatest of All Time) himself, Roger Federer. I think for a moment I got a little star struck. Above all both families were so gracious, and it was so awesome to document their coming together. I had such a blast with this couple and hope you all enjoy this sneak peak of their day…

Divya and Zach, Five Bridge Inn

It's always such a special treat for me to document Indian weddings. It's especially nice when I see many familiar faces from past weddings. This was the case with Divya and Zach's wedding. But perhaps the best treat of all, was seeing the two of them perform to their closest friends and family the night before their wedding at the Sangeet. Divya on the bass, and Zach on guitar; they harmonized together - a perfect match! They totally nailed it and that set the tone for the rest of the weekend! I felt so grateful the first time I documented an Indian wedding; and that couple was there at Divya and Zach's celebration along with their two beautiful children. And over the years as I've matured (well, in some ways), I sense an even stronger spiritual connection. It's not just with Indian weddings and it's hard to explain, but it's being extremely present, and in the moment. There are very spiritual things that are spoken under the Mundap, and it's hearing these things over time that have reinforced the connection. I have to admit that at one point as the families embraced, I nearly lost it! Yeah, I began to well up, but hey, I still got the shot! Divya and Zach, I can't thank you enough for the great performances, and heart felt connections that weekend. Congrats to you both!

Jenn and Evan, Fenway

Passion for the Red Sox, passion for each other! What a fun shoot I had with Jenn and Evan around Fenway Park. We even managed to get our hands on a 2013 Championship ring (well, technically they got their hands on it; mine were on the camera). Can't wait for their wedding later this year!

Liz and Kenny, Chatham, NY

One of the very cool things about following your passion as your career, is that many doors open. In the case of Liz and Kenny, it was a door to a new town and experience; one that I will cherish. On one level, it's vicarious; you're experience something that's important and special to someone else, and it's catchy! The other thing is, you have this fresh view of a new place, and that's always special and fun to capture. "Like a kid in a candy store," is what I always say, and I must have said it at least a couple of times that day. A big thank you goes out to Mother Nature for blowing just the right amount of clouds out of town, just in time for us to head out on our journey…
