I first met Meredith and Craig back in 2014 when they were in the bridal party at Jenna and Steve's wedding. It was great reconnecting with them. I'm so excited to be working with these guys. We had such a nice day for photos at the Arboretum in Jamaica Plain, and I can't wait for their wedding next year!
Out of the four weddings I documented in May, three of them were for families whom I've worked with in the past. I photographed Amanda and Richard's wedding back in the summer of 2012, and this time around it was Amanda's sister Lindsey's turn! Words can't describe what it's like to work with a family once again. There's an unspoken trust that's present before you even show up; you feel as though you're family; and like every other wedding, it doesn't feel like work, one bit...not when you do what you love! Speaking of love, we could all feel it that day - the love between Lindsey and Erik - they're both just perfect for one another. As a photographer, it's very rewarding to witness this regularly - LOVE - it really is THE most important thing! And the icing on the cake is, they got to go to Rome for their honeymoon - my favorite place on Earth! I'm so happy for these two - congrats guys!
I love documenting weddings at the Barn at Gibbet Hill, and had such an amazing time with Meagan and Kyle! We started off at Meagan's childhood home where her father's beautiful artwork was on display. We then met up with the guys at the Barn's "ruins" which sit at the top of the hill; this is such a great spot! The ceremony took place on the grounds at which time the wind picked up and the cool spring air moved in. The love felt by Meagan and Kyle and all who attended kept everyone warm outside, and there was no shortage of dance moves later on! Congratulations guys - it was so great getting to know you both and being present on your special day!
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again - it’s always such a treat being reunited with a family to celebrate another family member’s wedding! I first photographed Lucy’s sister, Emily’s wedding back in 2013. That was such an amazing wedding with a deliberate rustic vibe, hosted at Harrington Farm. This time around, it was all about the city - Boston! And what better place to host both your ceremony and reception than the Boston Public Library; the very place where Lucy studied-away for years. It no doubt holds a special place in her heart, and let’s face it, the architecture is beautiful. The outdoor garden provided such a classic/timeless setting, while the Abbey Room set the stage for nothing but fun! Lucy and Jeff did manage to sneak a way for a moment to catch up on some reading, and later that night, Jeff joined the band to perform, not one, but two songs; contributing vocals and rhythm guitar on a Darius Rucker song, and lead guitar on a Lenny Kravitz tune - he rocked! That was beyond fun guys - thanks so much for the invite!
